Read right on the front of the label on the packing, the manufacturer of bedding will tell you the tread count of the sheets. Tread count refers to the number of threads per square inch in both directions in the weave. The higher the thread count, the more luxurious the feel of a fabric. But thing to remember here, as a higher thread count usually means that the individual threads are thinner and may not wear as well. For good wear and to get the softest feel, we would suggest you to choose a thread count above two hundred and fifty but no lower than one hundred and seventy five. For those bed sheets you will sleep on every day, treat yourself. Choose the best you can according to your affordability.
These extra long sheets are different then a normal twin size sheet set in that the fitted sheet is 5 inches longer and also likely is not a deep pocket (most dorm mattresses are on the thin side - hence a fitted sheet drop length can range from 7 to 12 inches). The size of the flat sheet can be longer but does not have to be.
Some items in a hotel room cannot be purchased easily including bed spreads, bed skirts, drapes and decorative top of bed elements which typically are furnished by a special firm which cuts and sews those decorative fabrics as required by the hotel interior designer or brand that manages that property.
